Thank You to Our City Leads

Since 2022, the Women and Climate City Lead program has been at the heart of how our community came to life around the world.

What began as a simple idea — to bring women together locally to connect around climate — quickly grew into something far greater. Thanks to the passion, leadership, and generosity of our City Leads, Women and Climate expanded into a truly global network.

Over the past few years:

• 240+ City Leads stepped up to build community

• Across 80+ cities worldwide

• Hosting 450+ gatherings for women in climate

These events created space for connection, learning, and collaboration — often bringing together women who may not have otherwise found one another. From intimate dinners to larger meetups, each gathering contributed to a growing sense of belonging within the climate community.

We are deeply grateful to every City Lead who invested their time, energy, and care into making these moments possible. This community exists because of you.

As we’ve continued to grow, we’ve learned that scaling global programs requires a level of attention, care, and resources that are not yet available to Women and Climate. With that in mind, the City Lead program will no longer be active for the foreseeable future.

Women and Climate remains a global community — connecting thousands of women through our Slack network, virtual gatherings, and shared resources. We are excited to continue evolving how we bring women together in ways that are accessible, sustainable, and globally connected.
