    Susan McPherson is a serial connector, angel investor, and corporate responsibility expert. She is the founder and CEO of McPherson Strategies, a communications consultancy focused on the intersection of brands and social impact. She is the author of The Lost Art of Connecting (McGraw-Hill) and regularly pens a newsletter, Dear Connector. Susan is the recipient of Forbes magazine’s 50 over 50—Impact 2021, Worth Media’s Worthy100, and the Women in Sustainability Leadership Award 2026.

    Julie Potyraj is the Director of Brand and Content Marketing at EnergyHub, where she crafts the storytelling and vibes behind the platform that helps utilities connect devices people already own — EVs, home batteries, thermostats, and commercial and industrial sites — and coordinate them as a continuous, flexible source of power the grid can draw on year-round. Before finding her home in climate tech, Julie led marketing strategy at a prominent edtech company, and before that, she spent years living without electricity in rural Zambia, working in youth development. Julie holds a Master of Public Health degree and a Master Gardener certification. Outside of the office, you'll find her tending to her plants, engrossed in a novel, climbing walls, or cleaning up the Anacostia watershed region.
